Amanda Digby and Serena Owen became friends in 2019 while studying the Diploma of Ceramics at Hornsby TAFE. Their paths first crossed, though, years earlier when both volunteered at Cath Fogarty’s chinaclay. Spending time in Cath’s beautiful space, full of inspiring ceramics, was the turning point that eventually led them to establish MakingTime as a dedicated gallery for Australian ceramicists.
As the ceramic artists behind the gallery, we are focused on creating a place that promotes ceramics, supports the ceramics community, champions emerging ceramicists and helps artists and ceramic lovers connect.
MakingTime exhibitions are curated by Amanda and Serena, and by guest curators. We also welcome Expressions of Interest from ceramic artists and curators.
